There is something so satisfying about having your own herb garden. Not only does it save you money, but it also adds such incredible flavor to your dinner.

It doesn't matter if you have a large yard, or a small balcony, this herb garden works for any living situation.

That is one of the many things that makes container gardening so popular. You can see how I made the garden tray here.

I'm very excited to be teaming up with a talented group of bloggers for a garden tour. There are ten of us who are all sharing garden inspiration to help you get your outdoor space ready for summer entertaining!

Everyone's project is so different and I am sure you will be motivated to create some garden projects after visiting these bloggers.

Let me show you the herb garden that I am sharing today.

Herbs That Can Be Planted In The Same Bucket

Before planting your herb garden, be sure to research what herbs can be planted together. The folks at your local garden center are usually very helpful with answering questions.

It's definitely worth paying a little extra at the garden center for this reason. The home stores are great if you know what you are doing, but this is only my second herb garden, so I had a few questions.

After confirming that these herbs could be planted in the same galvanized bucket, these are the herbs that I chose:

  • thyme
  • parsley
  • basil
  • rosemary
  • sage
  • chives

This galvanized bucket was found at the flea market for $5! With flea market and yard sale season upon us, keep an eye out for galvanized containers if you want to make your own herb garden. It's also a perfect size to plant vegetables.

To give it a little detail and interest, I added "garden" to the center using a Chalk Couture transfer. Be sure to seal it with a clear sealant to protect it.

How To Plant An Herb Garden In A Galvanized Bucket

There are three important things when growing container gardens:

  • Fresh soil
  • Plenty of sun
  • Plenty of water

You can use any type of container as a planter, as long as it has proper drainage, but galvanized buckets work great!

Instructions:
